Hair restoration products have been proven to be highly marketable and extremely profitable and the SeMax Hair Formula is the most comprehensive hair restoration product in the world today, utilizing science from all over the world. In the process of developing our Hair Product our Chemist worked on and developed a fabulous, extremely effective Stop Smoking Formula.

Randy Gleave, the developer of the SeMax Hair Formula, started losing his hair when he was 20 years old and panicked. In 1975, he started his quest to save his hair by ordering and trying products that had hair growth claims. One of those products was called “New Generation” marketed by a television infomercial in the early 1980’s.

In 1985, Randy started working with NuSkin International and became an executive with the company. NuSkin, noted for their Health and Beauty aid line, needed a product to help boost their sales and corporate enthusiasm. NuSkin researched and found a hair restoration product manufactured by Crinos Laboratories out of Como Italy that utilized the science of adding muccopolysaccarides to hair.

Muccopolysaccarides are the main molecules the body produces to create cell division in hair growth. , when many people age (men and women) their bodies produce significantly less muccopolysaccarides resulting in hair loss and hair thinning,

NuSkin International acquired the exclusive multi-level marketing (MLM) rights to this Italian product and marketed it under the trade name of Nutriol. As a result, NuSkin’s business soared and they made tens of millions of dollars on this one product alone, which in turn, catapulted NuSkin into becoming one of the top MLM companies in the world.

In the summer of 1986, Randy was recruited to help start a new MLM company called “Neways International”. This company had a health and beauty line of products as well as a hair growth product.

The Neways hair growth product utilized the science developed at the University of Helsinki, Finland where Polysorbates were being successfully tested in their medical department to regenerate new skin for burn patients. It was discovered that polysorbates also helped to regenerate new grow hair on the patient’s body where the substance was being applied. POLYSORBATES were found to cleanse the acidic sebaceous oils which over time harden within the hair follicle which block the passage way for new healthy hair growth.

Neways International is now another top MLM company in the world and the early foundation of their success was built upon the excitement their hair growth product generated. Neways private-labeled their hair formula to other companies which also helped to significantly increase their bottom line.

Working with NuSkin and later with Neways International, gave Randy invaluable first-hand experience in learning how hair restoration products were made and marketed. He also saw first hand how highly profitable and how strong the overall excitement and demand was and is for hair growth products

Over the years, Randy continued his research in obtaining studies and information on hair restoration products from all over the world. He obtained the complete research and studies from the University of Helsinki Finland. He had his own chemist evaluate the research out of Crinos Laboratory’s in Italy. Randy obtained information from the University of Beijing in China on their studies of herbal formulations for hair growth. He also studied Japanese hair restoration products utilizing specialized proteins as well as Australian studies utilizing Tea Tree Oil.

Additionally, Randy learned that another factor contributing to hair loss was reported by the Medical department at the University of Miami. The Medical department discovered that cholesterol was present in high concentrations in the hair follicles of those who were losing their hair. The research concluded that this cholesterol became the binding (glue-like) agent which hardened the sebaceous oil creating Sebum Plug. It is the hard sebum plug in the follicle which blocks new hair growth.

The University successfully found ways to dissolve the cholesterol in the follicle which allowed new healthy hair growth occurred. The SeMax Hair Formula incorporates this science of dissolving the cholesterol by adding an all-natural homeopathic agent into its formulation.

In addition, Randy discovered an all-natural ingredient out of Canada which greatly increased blood flow to the root of the hair thereby revitalizing the papilla, vital to healthy hair growth.

Over the years Randy became an authority on hair restoration ingredients and formulas. He postulated that if these various products and formulas throughout the world were having success approaching hair loss from different directions using different ingredients, then what would be the outcome of combining all of these proven methods and natural ingredients and developing a Super-Formula attacking hair loss from all directions at the same time? Randy surmised the results would be the most dynamic hair growth product anywhere in the world.

Randy put together a team of chemists who studied all of this world wide research with the goal of creating a product that would incorporate all the known effective ingredients into one product and the SeMax 3-Step Hair Formula was created.

In the initial testing, the SeMax formula out-performed all other products on the market including Upjohn’s Monoxidil (Rogaine) and NuSkin’s Nutriol. Men and Women were noticing that in a relatively short time they were seeing new hair growth and that their scalp and hair overall was feeling and looking much healthier. Randy researched hair growth formulations from pharmaceutical companies from Italy, Canada and the United States. He also researched hair restoration studies out of Japan and Australia.

Randy discovered that every place mentioned above achieved some success in stopping and/or reversing hair loss, but they were all using different methods. For instance:

The University of Helsinki, Finland while testing the effectiveness of “Polysorbates” on the skin of burn patients discovered that the polysorbate solution not only helped to revitalize the skin of burn victims but it also generated new healthy hair growth.

“Polysorbates”: A surfactant that emulsifies body oils. It is a thick white creamy substance that when applied properly can penetrate into the hair follicle and help dissolve the Sebum Plug which blocks hair growth.

Medical Science has discovered that a high percentage of people who are bald or thinning have the genetic pre-disposition of having twice as many receptors located in their hair follicles. Through aging these additional receptors are responsible for converting the sebaceous oils into a hard, cement-like sebum plug. The SeMax Formula now uses a modern and more advanced blend of Polysorbates which have been found to be far more effective in emulsifying and dissolving the Sebum Plug.

The University of Beijing, China in analyzingancient Chinese herb formulas discovered and successfully tested a combination of herbs & vitamins that revitalized hair growth. University Of Miami Medical CenterThe University of Miami Medical Department discovered that cholesterol was a major factor in clogging up the hair follicle. The “Hair Follicle” is the shaft the hair grows out of from the root of the hair to the skin’s surface. The University had experimented and found ways to dissolve the cholesterol and SeMax incorporates this science into its formulation.

SeMax also uses a homeopathic approach to dissolving cholesterol inside the follicle. It was discovered that cholesterol acted as the binding agent which hardened the sebum plug.

Crinos Laboratories in Como, Italy discovered that fractionating the Muccopolysaccharide molecule accelerated cell division in the hairs root or papilla.

“Muccopolysaccharides”: Our bodies produce an abundance of this molecule when we are in our adolescent years. This molecule is what stimulates cell division to the root of the hair bulb know as the PAPILLA.

Introducing muccopolysaccaharides to the hairs roots helps significantly in stimulating new hair growth. The key is to find this molecule in a low molecular weight so it will be able to penetrate the membrane wall of the papilla. Fractionating this molecule extracted from mammals has been an effective but expensive process in hair restoration.

SeMax has discovered unique plants that produce muccopolysaccaharides that already have a low molecular weight naturally. The human body cannot differentiate between the muccopolysaccaharides derived from plants or animals and the hair cell division is the same. The good news is that obtaining muccopolysaccaharides from plants is a fraction of the cost than obtaining them from mammals which allows SeMax to formulate an abundance of these fabulous molecules into its hair formulation.

Upjohn’s Pharmaceutical Company developed a chemical drug for people with high blood pressure. This drug increased the dilation of blood vessels which reduced blood pressure and increased circulation. The increased blood circulation throughout the body revitalized the smaller blood vessels to the hair on the body and unexpectedly many patients were experiencing new hair growth. Upjohn then experimented with this medication and applied it topically to the scalps of people with hair loss. They discovered that their chemical drug in liquid form penetrated beneath the scalp which increased blood flow and circulation to that area. The increased blood flow to the scalp grew new hair for many of their patients.

SeMax uses an all-natural, ( non-chemical ), safe enzyme which vasodilates the hair roots’ tiny blood vessels and capillaries. This enzyme, in turn, increases blood circulation to the hair root and papilla which also nourishes and stimulates the scalp for healthy hair growth.

The Japanese have successful hair growth results utilizing biological proteins. And the Australians have successful hair growth studies using “Tea Tree Oil.”

Randy Gleave was an Executive for NuSkin International and later he helped found Neways International. Both of these companies had their own hair restoration products which sold tens of millions of dollars through multi-level-marking and private labeling.

Randy left those companies and organized a team of chemists who evaluated the years of worldwide research Randy had gathered on hair restoration.

Randy correctly concluded that if some hair growth could be achieved by using any one of these many ingredients, then it would stand to reason that by incorporating all the best science into one formula the results would be superior and dramatic.

His team of chemists went to work with the goal of synergistically blending and combining all the many proven ingredients into one formulation or process. This goal became a technical feat for the chemists who had to develop a process of combining the various components of the formulation where one ingredient wouldn’t overpower or cancel out the effectiveness of another.

Through much trial and error, they discovered that the right percentages, blending temperatures and the order of mixing allowed all the ingredients to perform to their optimum level and even beyond. It was revealed that when all the natural ingredients were harmoniously working together that it synergistically enhanced the performance of all the individual components in the formula.
